Symptom ScoreScore based on the symptoms you checked
High-Risk AreaWhether the body area is commonly affected by scabies
RecommendationsAI-generated action items with priority levels (urgent / high / medium / low)

9. FAQ & Troubleshooting

Common questions and solutions.

โ“ Frequently Asked Questions

How accurate is the AI detection?

The built-in AI uses image analysis (color patterns, texture, edge detection) combined with symptom correlation. It serves as a screening tool with varying accuracy. For confirmed diagnosis, always consult a dermatologist. You can improve accuracy by connecting a custom-trained ML model.

Can multiple users access the system?

Yes. Any number of staff members can register accounts and log in simultaneously from different devices. All data is shared and updated in real-time.

Is student data secure?

Yes. All API calls require authentication via JWT tokens. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. The system is designed for use within your institution's network. For additional security, ensure HTTPS is enabled on your server.

What image formats are supported?

JPG, PNG, and WEBP images up to 10MB. For best results, use high-resolution photos with good lighting.

Can I use this on my phone?

Absolutely! ScabiesGuard is fully responsive and designed mobile-first. You can take photos directly from your phone camera and get instant AI analysis. Add it to your home screen for app-like experience.

How do I change my password?

Currently, password changes need to be done by the system administrator. Contact your IT team to update passwords.

What is the recommended workflow for a new case?

1. Register the student (if not already registered)
2. Detect โ€” Upload a skin photo for AI analysis
3. Treat โ€” Prescribe appropriate medication
4. Monitor โ€” Log daily care activities
5. Follow-Up โ€” Record checkups every 3-7 days
6. Repeat steps 4-5 until the student is cured
